职位描述： Primary ResponsibilitiesAs a Merchandiser you act as a contact/communication link between the supplier and the Sourcing Manager. Your work is to facilitate the buying process. The communication between supplier-Merchandiser-Sourcing Manager is mostly by fax and e-mail. Only urgent cases are discussed over the phone. During the whole order process you have to keep the Sourcing Manager updated. The Sourcing Manager wants all the information he/she can get. Your cooperation with the Sourcing Manager will be strengthened if you share as much information as possible with her/him.Reporting toSourcing ManagerSpecific responsibilitiesThe Merchandiser is responsible to assist the Sourcing Manager in the following areas:To find new, suitable suppliersTo evaluate and develop suitable suppliersTo avoid agents and middle menTo find ways to get lower purchasing pricesTo monitor and analyse market pricesTo follow market trends, development, etcTo find new productsTo arrange travelling schedules and bookingsTo assist the Sourcing Manager during visits to suppliersTo translate and explainTo follow up on actions from meetings between supplier and Sourcing ManagerTo arrange and monitor samplesTo communicate with suppliersTo support in placing the ordersTo keep an updated record of order flowsTo conduct and report pre-shipment inspectionsTo monitor CSRTo monitor production and deliveriesTo assist with and handle claimsThrough payment department ensure proper document presentationsTo support in measuring supplier KPIs, for example the precision of deliveries, quality parameters,etcTo follow-up with suppliers and work towards improving supplier KPIsTo follow up corrective action plansThis list could be longer, but generally speaking the Merchandiser and the Shanghai Office is striving to improve business on behalf of the Sourcing Manager in any way possible. The presence of the Shanghai Office in the Asian markets and the benefit of having local staff with local background and knowledge strengthen OneMed's position in the medical disposables sector.Activities which should NOT be carried out by the Merchandiser include (but are not limited to):Negotiating prices and conditionsDelay or stop a delivery without approval of Sourcing ManagerProfileCollege degree in Engineering3-4 years experienceAny specialize trade skill eg Welding Cert, NDT cert, API Cert, Nace Cert or relevant to the industrySkillsAble to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goalShow interest in company's successTechnical knowledge and experience in related fieldAble to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneouslyAble to interact with all levels of management and clientsGood communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsActs quickly and decisively; able to make tough callsWorks well under pressure, challenges status quoIndependent in problem solving 职能类别： 其他
