About the roleThe recombinant protein team manager will be responsible for development of high quality recombinant proteins used as immunogens. He/She will be in charge of a team.Roles & responsibilities:?Prepare plan and budgets with head of Hangzhou NPD. Establish work schedule and assignments based on new RabMAb development plan. Ensure suitable human resource plus equipment to support operational demands?Organize, monitor and control the team work according to the planned schedule and cost. Ensure Key Performance Indicators are met. They include completing on time and keeping quality at a proper level.?Can recognize and find problems timely, give comments and organize proper resource to solve the problem.?Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Expand technology and encourage all team members to do the same.?Enhance the professional development of the team through ongoing training and via annual and quarterly performance reviews?Report to Head of Hangzhou NPD regularly and attend all kinds of related meetings. Work closely with managers in Cambridge or other offices. Regularly update progress in biweekly meeting. This will involve regular telephone meeting with UK.About you?Ph.D. in protein sciences with over 5 years work experience or Master with over 8 years work experiences?Education abroad a plus?3+ years line management experience?Rich experience on recombinant protein expression, purification and according analytical technology (Essential).?Broad knowledge and understanding on biochemistry, molecular biology, structure biology and protein engineering (Essential)?Experience on immunogen design and epitope prediction.(desirable)?Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills,?Ability to effectively present information and good analytical skills?With good oral and written English communication skills?Proactive and continuously seeking to improve performance?Adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic (1-2 paragraphs to describe the ideal candidate.
