Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Aiding and assisting the global channel manager networks understanding of commonly used sales tools to help drive revenue.Responsible for the creation of specific corporate sales programs for the region to help drive sales among the channel partners.Supporting and training channel partners based on corporate objectives for the given region. Aid channel partners in identifying opportunities for Illumina products and be the liaison between the region and corporate resources to help get answers quickly in order to close salesCoordination of product launches with our distributor partners for Illumina and Epicentre portfolios in a specified region. Execution of application driven presentations to channel partners in the given region. Manage and reinforce channel managers to use SFDC scorecard to manage channel partner activities and performanceMeet or exceed quarterly goals for the assigned region and assist in putting focus on key product areas among channel partners.Monitoring library prep sales across global channel partners and implementing initiatives to drive revenue. Attendance at tradeshows/conferences with channel partner as needed.Support of regional field marketing events as needed. Assisting sales and field marketing on new strategic initiatives requiring both technical and market knowledge for channel partners. Onboarding new channel partners.Providing strategic and competitive feedback to field marketingWorking jointly with channel managers to coordinate local sales efforts.Help districts with the contract and compliance obligations for the district to meet deadlinesDirectly responsible for any Epicentre only channel partners in the region to exceed sales quota and create programs to drive sales for the molecular biology portfolio.Working collaboratively with sales, service and support to ensure effective account/customer management and communication through the entire sales cycle supporting the channel partners.Developing and maintaining positive relationships with Illumina Channel Managers and their partners in an assigned territoryEnsure a high level of liaison with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Solutions, Quality, Regulatory, etc) and sales team & staff to ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals.Able to work cross functionally across departments at Illumina and lead projects in order to drive sales for channel partners.Representing the company professionally, ethically and morally at all times, adhering to Illumina's Values All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Requirements:Experience in genetics or a related life science preferredChannel Management experience preferred but not requiredMust be willing to travel up to 20%Prior field experience supporting customers in a highly technical field preferredRecognized deep technical expertise in sequencingIndependently works on highly complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variablesUses independent judgment in developing methods, techniques or evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsDemonstrated written and verbal communication and training skillsDemonstrated understanding of commonly-used bioinformatics tools and programs preferredDemonstrated superior problem solving and interpersonal skills in a customer facing environmentPrior role requiring clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer serviceExperience in a direct sales role desirable but not essentialEducation:B.A or B.S, preferably in a Science related field.
