Responsibilities / Duties
- Close daily working relationship with Business Development Directors in Covance China Early Development to ensure that all client needs/expectations are being attended to at all times
 - Work with/assist Business Development Directors in providing requested proposals to clients on a timely basis and be in a position to respond to any questions raised by clients
 - Work with/assist Business Development Directors in providing very clear requests/questions etc to appropriate personnel in operating units in relation to issues raised by clients
 - Develop and maintain systems for ensuring that all client inquiries/submitted proposals etc are being followed up on a timely basis and report such data to management and associated individuals on a regular basis
 - In association with Business Development Directors, ensure all input into SalesForce.com is on schedule
 - Work with Business Development Directors with the aim of ensuring that appropriate detailed Sales Reports are provided to management
 - Close involvement in all Sales related admin matters relating to China Early Development site
 - Maintain daily contact with key Client Service staff in operating units, and all appropriate scientific personnel, to ensure that proposals, inquiries etc are being handled on a timely basis so as to match clients’ expectations
 - Maintain regular contact with key staff in Shanghai Covance Office, including operational function in early development office, sister business units, and finance and contract team, etc.
 - Meet personally with clients whenever necessary to discuss any scientific issues etc, which may be causing confusion etc to clients
 - In association with Business Development Directors, constantly aim to identify potential new clients and be in a position to promote the services of Covance to such companies
 - Maintain constant observation of competing CROs in China market and be in a position at all times to advise management when specific competitive action/strategies are being taken by specific competitors
 - To be in a position to inform management as to details of key conferences and industry meetings/exhibitions
 - To be in as best position as possible at all times, through constant market intelligence, to be aware of competitors’ pricing and therefore be in a position to advise management/operating units of pricing strategies
 - In association with Business Development Directors to maintain close observation of financial payment obligations of clients and speak/meet with clients when payments become overdue
 
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
 - Fluent in English
 - Team Player
 - Organization Skill
 - Strong communication skill
 
Experience
- 3 years in Sales Support Role or Admin Role
